a. General Information
Event Name: Maimai Malaysia Mini Competition 2016
Date: December 4th (Sunday)
Time: 11:15am - 6:30pm (may extend or end early)
Registration time: Starts at 10:30am
Location: CP Arcade, Lot 2 - 08 ( II ) & 2 - 09, e@Curve.
Categories: Expert (MAX Rating <11.80), Master (MAX Rating 11.81-14.00)
Participants: At least 32 participants (16 participants per category), Maximum 56 (28 per category).
Registration door gift: Maimai related T-shirt**
(While stocks last and no size selection for non-early bird participants)
Entry fee:
Expert/Master: RM25 per person (to pay for gameplay & prizes)
b. General Rules and Reminders
1. Contestants will choose and play from song lists prepared by us.
2. During all rounds, unless otherwise specified or stated, the contestant with the HIGHEST TOTAL SCORES of all 4 songs will advance to the next round/win the round. (NOT Achievement %)
3. Players must BRING YOUR OWN GLOVES. The organising team will not spare any backup gloves. If you forget to bring, please get it from whichever accessory shops you can find around The Curve or e@curve itself.
4. Players will play using admin's cards throughout the match. No request of using personal aime/banapassport cards shall be entertained.
5. Unless otherwise specified or stated, players must set their slide and break sounds to OFF or DEFAULT ONLY throughout the match. A routine check will be done by committee members.
6. Players are free to play at any speed, brightness, screen display (combo, achievement, score or off), star rotation on/off etc up to and including also MIRROR AND JUDGE STYLE (GORI, MAJI ETC), unless otherwise specified or stated.
7. Besides preliminary rounds , players will draw lots (UNO cards) to determine match pairs. 2 (or 4) people who get the same number will play together, and smaller numbers shall play first.
8. During the match, except during game play, players are advisable to step back from the machine.
9. In an occasion that two players have the same total score at decisive positions, a rematch will be carried out.
10. In an occasion of technical problem in the middle of the match (mainly buttons problems and network offline), a replay game will be carried out.
11. Replay games will not be carried out without logical reasons (e.g. no aura, unsatisfied with score, made stupid mistakes, was trolling etc.)
12. Other players must not interfere contestants that are in the game. Failure to adhere to this rule will subject to disqualification.
13. Decisions of the organising team is final and will not entertain any unreasonable, illogical and proofless objections thereafter.
14. Organising team is not responsible for any complaints received from CP Arcade and other arcade visitors, please behave yourselves and take care of the cleanliness.
15. Please take good care of your personal belongings. Organising team and CP Arcade shall not hold any responsible for injuries and/or your loss of belongings.

3.Categories and Format Description
a. Expert (MAX Rating less than 11.80)
i. Preliminary Round (4P)
1. WAKAICHIKARA -SEGA HARD GIRLS MIX- (Expert) (Level 8)
2. Hand In Hand (Expert) (Level 8+)
3. Sprintrances (Expert) (Level 9)
The 8 players with the highest percentages from Prelims will advance to the next level
ii. Top 8 [5 song lists] (2P)
Top 8 contestants will draw 1 number (between 1 to 4) which will be the pair number they belong to, and each pair will then draw a random song list for the round to be played in. Each pair gets to play once, The first of each pair will advance to the next round.

iii. Top 4 [6 song lists] (2P)
Top 4 contestants will receive 1 song list to compete in, the bracket of all 4 contestants will be ranked according to their total scores: 1st-2nd bracket (upper) and 3rd-4th bracket (lower), which the former will move on to grand finals and the latter to the 3rd qualifier round

b. Master (MAX Rating 11.81-14.00)
i. Preliminary Round (4P)

The 16 players with the highest total scores from Prelims will advance to the next level
ii. Themed Song Lists (Top 16) [10 song lists] (4P)
Top 16 contestants will draw 2 numbers (from 1 to 8) they belong to for this round. Each group gets to play once, hence each of the top 16 players gets to play 2 rounds.
The numbers chosen will determine the follows: Song list, BREAK+SLIDE sound effects, opponents

NOTE: ALL players must set their sound effects as follows: Answer sound SHORT/LONG, Sound effects ON, SLIDE/BREAK sound MAX.
For both rounds, each contestant will get points as follows:
First - 6 points, Second - 3 points, Third - 1 point, Fourth - 0 point
After all 4 rounds, the 9 contestants with the highest points will proceed to the next round.
NOTE 2: For instance there are ties between the fourth to sixth placers, their total divided score percentages (Total score obtained/total MAX score of songs x 100%) will be compared and determine the qualifier for next round.
iii. Death Match (Top 9) [12 songs] (2P)
Contestants will draw 1 at random for the song to be played in this round, head-on against one of our organizing team member with the conditions of a specific mirror mode and MAJI judge style (MAJI will be optional). The winning determinant factor this round will be the nett total score difference you and the challenger (Your total score for both songs - Challenger's total score for both songs)
Compiled results during this round automatically determines whether you enter the 3rd qualifier round (3rd/4th), the grand finals (1st/2nd) or disqualified.
